DON’T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT...

Brittany Mullins

This course is a comprehensive guide to taking amazing food photos with a DSLR camera or your phone. From photography basics to food styling and artificial lighting, Dana explains and demonstrates everything in a way that’s easy to understand and implement. My only wish is that I would have taken the course sooner!

Brittany @ EatingBirdFood.com

Emma Chapman

I LOVE this course. My favorite parts were the styling in the Essentials course, where Dana shows exactly how she styles so many different (challenging) foods, and the entire artificial lighting course. I’ve loved food photography for years but artificial lighting is one area I always struggle with so I loved learning from Dana and Ian on how to make that work for me.

Emma @ ABeautifulMess.com

Sarah McMinn

Food Photography School has something for everyone. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, Dana will help bring your food photography to the next level! With the expanded courses on artificial lighting and phone photography, you’ll have everything you need to create beautiful mouthwatering images from anywhere.

What’s the Real Value of These Courses?

A university-level photography course can easily set you back $10,000.

A workshop can cost $1,000 + expenses and still only last 1 or 2 days. Plus, you can’t reference the material once you leave.

These courses cost a fraction of that amount, and teach you skills you can easily sell and profit from. How?

Food stylists can easily make $500 per day. Professional photographers can easily charge $1,000 per day. And if you master artificial light, you can no doubt make back the cost of this course after one gig.

Not to mention, better images = better engagement with your audience, wherever they may be. Use this course to professionally promote your business, website, food blog, and even take on professional clients.

Trust us – we’ve built a successful online business with engaging, beautiful images at the core of what we do. And Dana has not only built a massive audience on Minimalist Baker, but also worked professionally as a food stylist and food photographer for corporate clients. What are you waiting for? Save money while learning from a pro!

Do you offer discounts (holiday deals, etc.)?

We don't discount our products and have no intention of doing so in the future. We feel these courses are a fantastic value priced as-is for the skills they are offering. We're actually more likely to raise the price in the future.

What is your refund policy?

Simple. There's an unconditional 30 day guarantee that you're going to love this course and learn a tremendous amount.Try it out for 30 days and make sure you love it. If it's not the right fit, simply let us know and we'll promptly refund your money.

Do the videos have captions?

Yes! Every video has english captions!

Does the essentials course teach me how to use Photoshop and Lightroom?

Yes! Of course, these are complex pieces of software and we only cover what we think is helpful for food photography and really making your photos great.

What if I don't own Photoshop or Lightroom?

First, there are about 100ish videos that have nothing to do with Photoshop. You're still getting lots of lessons about taking great food photos.

Second, Adobe now offers a subscription package and you can even try it for a 30 day free trial. If you've never given it a spin before, this might be the perfect opportunity to test out some seriously powerful software.

Do I need a DSLR to take this course?

No! This course was designed to allow you to use what you have and start learning about food photography. Although we think you'll get more out of the course if you do have a DSLR, it's by no means necessary.

Not only that, once you're a member, you're always a member. Take the course today and learn some of the tips with your current camera and then go back through it and review the material if you upgrade.

In fact, there are a couple lessons discussing the differences of camera types. It could be really helpful to have some background knowledge before you make such a big investment and we're ready to help!

I'm very new to professional photography and videography, can I only take the photo or video course?

We would recommend starting with the photography essentials if you're a newbie to photography - this is where you'll learn your foundation. And if you're wanting to venture into videography, pick up the Food Video School course after that!

What's the difference between Food Photography School and Food Video School?

The short answer is LOTS!

Food Photography School is definitely entirely different from Food Video School. The Food Photography School course focuses entirely on taking great food photos, which ends up being further from videography than you'd imagine (using natural or spot lighting, editing still photos in photography software, setting up a still scene, etc.). The videos within each course are different and uniquely focusing on the art of either photography or videography.

How long are the videos?

We tried to edit each course to make sure each video was valuable and teaching you something. We didn't want to create fluff just to say we had more hours of videos.

That said, there's still a lot of videos!

The Phone Course has about 1 hour 15 minutes of total videos.

The Essentials Course has roughly 7 hours of total videos.

The Artificial Lighting Course has about 2 hours of total videos.

But each course will take longer than just the video length considering the downloadable resources, the photos to edit and follow along, quizzes, and other goodies!

Will I be an expert if I watch all these videos?

Close! The reality is that you are only going to get better if you continue to practice and take lots of food photos. This course will help you jump the learning curve and learn much more quickly than somebody trying to figure it out on their own. This stuff is tricky and there's lots to learn - that's why we want to help you get the most of your time and money.

Are you sure these videos are that great?

Yes. Seriously, we are so proud of this product it's silly. We worked really hard and are so excited to pack so much value into this course. We hope you love it just as much.

Can I use My Ipad/Tablet?

Yes! The entire course is designed to look and work seamlessly regardless of the device you are using. We worked hard to make sure you can utilize this course in the way most convenient for you.

Can I download the videos?

Sorry, our system doesn't have a way to handle downloading the videos to your computer. However, you can always login and access your account as frequently as you'd like.

Can you accept paypal?

Yes! Although all our payment options are very secure, paypal will allow you to pay with a check or through your paypal funds if you so desire.

I live in another country, can I take these courses?

Yes! These courses are accessible for anyone in any country. The course prices are in USD and our payment processors can take payments from most any country.

What does the checkout process look like?

As simple as we could make it. You create a login, add your payment (credit card or paypal), and you're automatically directed inside the course (as well as emailed a link).

How fast do I get access?

It's pretty much ninja-like instant access. You'll be in as soon as your payment is processed (takes about 1 second).

What do you mean by lifetime access?

Simple - your purchase today includes access to all the videos we have available at the time of your purchase. You'll be able to reference the course as much as you need!

If we do release new courses in the future, we typically offer discounts to existing subscribers.

Just making sure, this is a one-time fee, correct?

Yes! There is no recurring charge for this course.

Do you include lessons on recording videos?

This course is strictly about taking great food photos. Although many of the principles and basics will help you get shots that could be used for video, we don't cover video production in this course.

Do these courses come with a certificate of completion?

Yes, they do! You'll have both a screen showing the percentage of the course that has been completed as well as a printable certificate. Each course has its own certificate, so the bundle will have a total of 2 completion certificate opportunities.
